Benjamin Liu’s career encompasses over 15 years of marketing, web site optimization and product management experience with a variety of companies. Currently, he Sr. Manager of Web Strategy at Adobe Systems, responsible for implementing an organization-wide site optimization program on Adobe.com. Previously, Ben was the Director of Web Optimization at Experian, increasing order conversion for high-traffic web sites including FreeCreditReport.com, FreeCreditScore.com and Experian.com through optimization of landing pages and order funnels. With limited resources, he ran nearly 300 tests in 2009 resulting in over $18 million in incremental revenues and a 14% conversion rate lift. He also standardized processes based on best practices to allow for scalable growth and testing across all properties, as well as implemented advanced behavioral targeting and segmentation. He was also at Experian Interactive Media as a Product Manager at ClassesUSA.com. There, he developed applications and tools for internal users, as well as focused on reducing undeliverable leads. He also segmented customers, and managed web site optimization, including AB testing landing pages, order funnels and email campaigns, while increasing service and conversion rates on the company's websites. Ben is a certified in Landing Page Optimization by MarketingExperiments / MarketingSherpa. Formerly, as the Marketing Integration Manager for Academic Loan Group in San Diego, he developed and implemented consumer direct and e-marketing programs, created new marketing initiatives, developed an extensive loyalty program and an enterprise reporting system, and managed a Visa card program launch, among other duties. On the side, Ben also managed Innovative Blast, a marketing agency and is responsible for the team that produced all sponsorship and regional advertising for Delta Air Lines for 3 years. He led development of an e-commerce application and numerous interactive projects for CarsDirect.com, MojoPages.com, MTV Networks and Comedy Central. Previously, he was the creative director and product marketing manager for SalesBuilder (now Magnify360), an enterprise behavioral targeting application. Becoming an expert at customer segmentation and targeting, he also maintained duties as an account manager, providing strategic marketing consulting and developing online and offline marketing campaigns for clients including Intuit, Citrix and Frontrange, as well as handling product manager roles, from triaging bugs to managing an overseas team of developers. Earlier, while pursuing his MBA, Ben founded AccountNow (latest news) , a financial services company for underserved communities and unbanked individuals, creating everything from the business plan and financial projections to test marketing campaigns to demonstrate market response. Along with his partner, the pair raised $3.5M in venture capital to launch the company, which is currently thriving in the Bay Area. During the fundraising period, he was also responsible for developing numerous International marketing, card-based, and promotional campaigns for Action Online, an Internet casino and onsite terminal software provider for land-based casinos. As a founder of E-Commerce Processing, another financial services company, Ben was responsible for spearheading numerous innovative marketing ideas and leading development of private label loyalty and gift programs for thousands of merchants. Over the years, Ben has also worked as a marketing consultant and web/graphic designer for a variety of B2B and B2C clients. With years of arts and entertainment experience, Ben accomplished a life-long dream by producing Deuces, an internationally-released feature film which also won Best Feature at the Telluride Indie Film Festival in 2002. It was the world's first film produced in High Definition 24p. He has also produced a sitcom pilot and written several feature film and sitcom scripts, including specs for "Dharma & Greg" and "Spin City". He has extensive management and marketing experience organizing over eighty sports, music and charity events around the country since 1991, working on staffs of the US Olympic Trials and other International sports events. In 1994, his Claremont Criterium was voted Southern California Race of the Year. After college, Ben started as a professional Traffic Engineer, and excelled at building traffic jams. He also helped design a sealed, collapsible glovebox for the Space Shuttle (flew on STS-66 in November 1994), and was a Spinning Instructor. Ben has an MBA in Global Business and Finance from Pepperdine University and a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College in Claremont.
